HARVEST // Fall Alignment

Posted on: September 21st, 2017 by Krissy  |

Fall is dominated by the Lungs and Large Intestine in Chinese Medicine.  It is a season of retrospection & meditative insight.  We shed old skin, literally, and eliminate excess, external attachments & emotions accumulated in Summer.  Our ability to accept and be open to new experiences, while letting go of things that are painful, is created by the Lung and Large Intestine.  They help us create space for new information and experiences.  Allow Achieve to nourish you thru a gentle, smooth Fall transition.  For a limited time, we welcome you to participate in our HARVEST // Fall Alignment Treatment.  Is it specifically designed to nourish the Lung and Large Intestine as they prepare to keep us free of dry skin, coughing & respiratory ailments, while allowing us to communicate well.  In addition to a Shiatsu and cupping session designed to open the lungs and create space throughout, you will take home an Autumn Tonic (a spicy blend of ginger, turmeric, lemon and local apple all pressed freshly into a juice by us!) and a week’s worth of throat soothing tea from Mountain Rose Herbs.  Delicious!  Interested?  Sign up here.

A Fall season Fire Cider

Fire Cider!

Fire Cider!

Traditionally Fire Cider has been used as a cure-all cold remedy.  It’s ingredients are abundant with anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, immune-boosting, decongestant and digestive properties.  Needless to say, with all those healing abilities, Fire Cider is not for sensitive palates or lily livers.  The heady tonic has a way of making a clean sweep of your digestive system.  When all the ingredients are blended together, the entire concoction steeps for at least 4 weeks, and is then strained into individual bottles.  We have included this tonic is the Fall Wellness Treatment to ensure you have one potent remedy when the seasons cold wind invades your system.  One spoon full, taken each morning, can stimulate your digestion to take hold of any cold ailment to warm your entire being.

Ingredients: garlic, onion, apple cider vinegar, lemon, ginger, turmeric, horseradish, cayenne, jalapeno, star anise, & local honey
